Collections of inscriptions. There are already many internet sites where you may find inscriptions. However I only found three of them which are in the public domain and can be used as reliable and rich worktools:

Epigraphical Database of the Packard Humanities Institute (home), whose start page is rather hard to find. You have to wait to load the search applet, at the bottom of the page; it's a real great tool. In this database you may find most of the greek inscriptions from TDM regions and many of the latin ones. For each inscription the database provides the text, the place of discovery, the datation and, when necessary, alternant references.
-Epigraphische Datenbank Heidelberg (EDH)-index (frames). You can find most of the latin inscriptions. You may look for them using the Simple search engine or the Complex search engine. Rich data for each inscription, including alternative lectures of the text.
-Epigraphik-Datenbank Clauss / Slaby (EDCS)-Search. For latin inscriptions only. Less details but more inscriptions.
Even if, as we see, epigraphical collections multiplied over the internet, we still need a dedicated gathering at least for three reasons:
-to be able to consult the phtos of the stones whenever is needed
-to be able to comment the texts (and indeed many inscriptions need to be commented and amended)
-an internet unitary database can be much easier referenced
These are the reasons why I made a separate gathering of inscriptions which serve as source for thesaurus of the TDM languages. I intitled it
-Inscriptiones ad Linguas Thraco-Daco-Moesianas pertinentes (ILTDM)

KAGA: an Important Dacian Word

In two inscriptions from Tomis (Constanţa) I discovered in 1989 a dacian word, kaga, whose meaning is offering, sacrum. You can follow my demonstration and see good images of the inscriptions themselves.
