Dear Sorin,

what you think about what mr. Brian Joseph says, that Romanian is not a Balkanic language:

Me too I was impressed about the closeness between Romanian and Aromanian, but cann't we understand French or Spanish in almost the same measure?

Supossing that two Latin languages evoluted completely separately in Carpatians and Balkans, how would they be now?

Mai întâi de toate trebuie să-ţi atrag atenţia că acest forum nu este un ring în care venim să ne arătăm muşchii şi să scoatem colţii. Înainte de orice afirmaţie despre ceea ce crezi tu că este ştiinţa, răspunsul tău arogant şi jignitor (fără nici un motiv) ne arată că nu avem ce afla de la tine. Intenţionam să-ţi dau un răspuns usturător, dar polemic. Asta presupune însă un dialog ori, citind mesajul tău până la cfapăt, am înţeles că un dialog cu tine îneamnă de fapt "ba pe-a mă-ti" şi nu vreau ca acest forum să ajungă acolo. Sunt deja prea multe. Aşa că te rog du-ţi intenţiile la bun sfârşit şi rezolvă-ţi de la altă tribună frustrările personale.

Greetings everyone and congratulations for your site and forum Sorin.

Nice to meet you in a more academic environement, "herzoge Ramunc üzer Vlachen". I'll skip the chit-chat and get right to the point. I have a question for you: on a different forum I told exactly what Sorin told you on this one: that Romanian and Aromanian are dialects of the same language, that the fracture took place somewhere in the 9th century ant the the Romanian people was formed on both banks of the river Danube. Why do you find this so hard to believe ?? It seems to me as if you find it almost shamefull...

Because the communities in late Antiquity - early Middle Age Balkans and surroundings where kind of refugees groups, hidden in hard accesible places away from Barbar invaders.

Changing the subject, I want to ask the Forum admin if a topic with Thracian-Dacian archaeology would be right. Also if a special topic for links would be good or better to put the messages with link reccomentations in the existing topics?
